Largest Ever Live Holiday Tree Arriving Monday November 18th at Bridgeport

PORTLAND, Ore. - Nov. 15, 2013 - PRLog -- Bridgeport Village, Portland’s premier shopping and dining destination, is thrilled to announce the arrival of the center’s live holiday tree. The locally grown, 36-foot tall noble will be delivered to center court the morning of Monday November 18, 2013.

This year’s tree was grown in Washougal, Wash. at the Majestyk Mountain Tree Farm.  At 36 feet, the tree marks the largest ever selected by Bridgeport Village.  The tree weighs over 4,000 pounds and will be illuminated by more than 5,000 lights and 900 ornaments.    The tree takes a team of three people five days to fully decorate.  After the holidays, the tree will be mulched and fully recycled.  The tree will be moved in around 5:00am Monday, November 18^th.

In addition to the tree’s arrival, the Portland Metro Home Builders Association’s Professional Remodelers Organization will once again construct Santa’s house.  This construction began on Nov. 9. It will take several days to assemble on the property. Designed to make Santa feel at home in the Northwest, the rustic craftsman-style home will be fully decorated for the holidays and ready for Santa’s arrival November 29.

Santa will arrive November 29 at 7:00 p.m. during intermission of The Beatniks Holiday Concert.  After arriving on the “Bridgeport Express”, the center’s solar-operated holiday train, Santa will light the holiday tree and then be available for photos in his new house.

Santa will be home for photos November 29 through December 24, 2013, Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. Santa will also take photos Christmas Eve, Saturday, December 24 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. For more information on photo packages and pricing, visit Bridgeport-Village.com
