By: Bridgeport Village This year’s tree was grown in Washougal, Wash. at the Majestyk Mountain Tree Farm. At 36 feet, the tree marks the largest ever selected by Bridgeport Village. The tree weighs over 4,000 pounds and will be illuminated by more than 5,000 lights and 900 ornaments. The tree takes a team of three people five days to fully decorate. After the holidays, the tree will be mulched and fully recycled. The tree will be moved in around 5:00am Monday, November 18th. In addition to the tree’s arrival, the Portland Metro Home Builders Association’ “This year’s tree is our largest ever and we are really excited to have such a beautiful, locally-grown tree here at Bridgeport Village,” said Sarah Sumpter Marketing Manager for CenterCal Properties, owners of Bridgeport Village. Santa will arrive November 29 at 7:00 p.m. during intermission of The Beatniks Holiday Concert. After arriving on the “Bridgeport Express”, the center’s solar-operated holiday train, Santa will light the holiday tree and then be available for photos in his new house.
