Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck Becomes Las Vegas for Casino Night Fundraiser

SHIRLEY, N.Y. - Nov. 15, 2013 - PRLog -- Who:          Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck Patrons, Staff and Community

What:          TheCamp Pa-Qua-Tuck Patrons will be hosting a Casino Night that will raise money to benefit the special needs camp. Attendees will be able to enjoy gambling at Las Vegas-casino-style games of chance, hors d’oeuvres, beer, wine and contests with fun bucks.

         The hosts of the night, the Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck Patrons, are a new group of volunteers that support the mission of Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck.

When:          Saturday, November 16

         7 p.m. – 11 p.m.

Where:          Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck

         2 Chet Swezey Rd, Center Moriches, NY 11934

Directions:     Travel to LIE Exit 69 (Wading River Road). Take that south to the end. Bear right on Railroad Avenue. Take that to the second light and make a left onto Main Street (also known as Montauk Highway). About ½ mile down the road you will see a sign for the camp. Turn left onto Chet Swezey Road. Take to end and make a right into the camp.

Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck (http://camppaquatuck.com/) was created by members of the Moriches Rotary Club in 1946. Located on the shores of Kaler's Pond on eastern Long Island, Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck is funded primarily by donations and is a special place where children with physical and developmental disabilities can experience first-hand the pleasures that an active life has to offer. Children participate in a wide range of activities especially designed for youngsters who are in wheelchairs as well as those who are ambulatory. These activities include swimming, boating, arts and crafts, petting zoo, talent shows, cook-outs, games and a Carnival Day. The program also provides educational activities in areas such as nature, arts, fire safety and communication skills.
