Not-for-profits with the best story can win $8500 of free direct mail services from Prime Data

 
TORONTO - Nov. 15, 2013 - PRLog -- Prime Data kicks off a What’s the Story? contest at the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Congress event in Toronto November 18 to 20, 2013. Canadian not-for-profits can win $8,500 worth of fundraising services by posting and sharing a compelling story related to their organization on http://www.whatsthestory.ca.

“As humans we love to hear stories. From Homer to The Hunger Games, stories capture our imagination and attention and often leave us wanting more,” says Steve Falk, president, Prime Data. “Fundraisers who use storytelling in their campaigns are realizing great results. We want to help organizations get the best return on their marketing investment and we think storytelling can help.”

All Canadian not-for-profit organizations are eligible to participate in What’s the Story? All that is required is to think of a story about their organization, find an image to help represent the story, and enter it in the online form. Next, organizations can share their story with friends, families and peers via the contest site, which offers easy facebook, twitter and email share options, and then ask them to vote for their favourite story. The story with the most votes by Valentine’s Day, 2014 wins.

The winner will benefit from $8,500 worth of fundraising services that will be used to build a fundraising campaign based on their story. Services can include an all-inclusive direct mail (DM) campaign - up to 10,000 records - or an equivalent value of digital marketing support. Also included is a DM project strategy consultation session, a feature article on http://www.primedata.ca and http://www.whatsthestory.ca and inclusion in the next Prime Data social media campaign.

“We will also be promoting the contest within the industry and beyond, asking the public to read and vote for the strongest story,” says Falk.
