explain3D - 3D wiki for technical education

Nov. 15, 2013 - PRLog -- Explain3D (http://explain3d.com/) is something like 3D wiki for technical education. System helps people understand how things work. The goal of the Explain3D team is to create an interactive educational tool. Explain3D is using principles of game based learning and interactive education in 3D environment. The simulations have a variety of functions, like rotation of selected simulation or you can get more information after clicking on objects. Some simulations have advanced functions, and become more interactive like the manual transmission where you can shift gears.

Why crowdfunding

Since publishing the project prototype, we recieved a lot of messages with ideas and subbestions, how to improve system to became helpful educational tool. All these ideas are great, not because they are YOUR ideas, but they are ideas of teachers and educators and they reflect their needs. Future of explain3D. Where we want to get?

Develop 8 complex simulations - create 8 complex simulations from field of mechanics, transportation and physics.

Redesign of user interface for better experience - for better experience from education, we would like to make some small redesigns of web and user interface of simulations and add new functionality to simulations

Create virtual museum of inventors - we would like to create virtual museum of inventors (3D models of inventors) with descriptions of their most valuable inventions, that changed the world

We decided for crowdfunding the system, because explain3D could be a useful tool for educators and teachers and create technical education fun. Therefore we need your cooperation.
