Nov. 15, 2013 - PRLog -- Glorianne Francis also known as Miss Groovy ‘G’ and Glo Diamond was recently honoured with a surprise award by Stephanie Chiyangwa the founder of Help Us Help Ourselves Charity at Hilton Tower Bridge London on Saturday 2nd November 2013 at the Charity Anniversary and book Launch.  She was described as ‘an amazing lady who is always creating platforms for others in the community’.

This comes following being awarded Personality of the Year 2012 by the Zimbabwe Achievers Awards committee for her commitment and dedication to raising profiles, creating platforms and supporting up coming talent and profiling them in a supportive environment. She is also well recognised for her great networking skills, charity work and bringing communities together.

Glorianne was also recently acknowledged in the book written by CNN Hero and Multiple award winning human rights activist, HRH Muzvare- Princess Betty Makoni for her hard work and thanked her for great support. She went on to describe Glorianne as a ‘treasure who loves beyond measure’.

Originally born and raised in Harare, Zimbabwe, Glorianne played basketball at National and International level until she accidently broke her right Tibia and Fibula in a very competitive game in London.

She graduated from University of Greenwich, with Dip HE in mental Health and BSc in Forensic Psychiatry. She is a Master Practitioner & Trainer in Neuro Linguistic Programming.

Glorianne is a conscientious, resourceful and creative Brand Strategist and International Public Relations Communications Consultant. Glorianne is also a Small Business & Social Enterprise Start up Mentor in the UK as well as an International Entertainment, Marketing & PR Consultant and plays a very pivotal role in the community.

She is also a Mentor for young women and having been homeless herself in the UK, she is committed to giving refuge to young girls and recently young men from Africa who finds themselves homeless due to numerous reasons. Glorianne has been accommodating young women from Africa for more than ten years and supports them to become financially & emotionally independent before letting them go their own way.

She is involved and supports numerous charities  and  has worked and consulted with top sporting and entertainment stars including Evander Holyfield, Mike Tyson, Temptations, Black Street, Derek Chisora, Shingai Shoniwa(Noisettes), Christine Ohuruogu ( British Olympic Medalist) to name a few. She has consulted for Zimbabwe High Commission, Minister of Tourism (Zimbabwe and Nigeria), Rotary Club, and Zimbabwe Olympic Committee.

She loves to hear and tell testimonies and share her experiences through inspirational speaking. She was recently a speaker at the book launch of CNN hero HRH Muzvare Betty Makoni.  She is also an actress and plus size model and has spoken at International conferences.

Glorianne Francis also facilitated and was MC at the First African Diaspora awards in May this year where she kept her audience amused
and entertained throughout the evening with her lively wit and banter.

She also had a piece of work entitled Why, Why, and all My Woman Ambitions published in an anthology at the age of 18.

She has a passion for anything artistic, personnel development and empowerment and would like to share it with people all over the world. Glorianne is commited to raising money and has been dubbed the queen of auctions and raffles as she uses her charm, powerful voice and wit to convince people to part with money in aid of charity.

Glorianne is a self motivated person who believes that one’s dreams can be realised through desire drive ambition and an overwhelming personal need to achieve your own goal in life.  She believes that if you treat everyone you meet with respect, care and understanding, they will in turn regard you in a like manner.

She was quoted as saying ‘I believe in going out there and getting the happiness I believe I deserve and sharing it with others by inspiring positive energy. I believe that women can be beautiful and still be great leaders & entrepreneurs. It is important to promote culture, creativity, individualism, and self-identity.’  I am forever grateful to God for my Journey both the good rides and the bumpy ones.
