7th Awards ceremony returns to the Lion City in 2014 during Singapore Maritime Week
 
SINGAPORE - Nov. 14, 2013 - PRLog -- The Seatrade Asia Awards, a prestigious awards scheme organised by Seatrade, will be held in Singapore on 7 April 2014 during the Singapore Maritime Week. The 2014 Awards, now in its seventh year, is officially open for entries and nominations until 31 January 2014. Thirteen award categories are available for companies to send in their submissions in the fields of innovation; safety and quality; social and environmental responsibility; enterprise and achievement, as well as education and training. The entries will be adjudicated by an independent panel of judges based on a set of fair and transparent criteria.

In addition to the competitive categories, Seatrade will be presenting the Personality of the Year and the Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of exceptional contributions to the region’s shipping and maritime industry.

Seatrade is the pioneer of shipping awards schemes since 1988. The Asia Awards programme was first initiated in 2008 to raise the profile of maritime development across Asia and to underscore excellence achieved in various fields.

The red-carpet event, akin to the Oscars for the maritime industry, promises to be a night of extravagant networking and celebration as hundreds of top shipping executives gather to laud outstanding performances at the region's finest shipping event. Winning the Award is not simply a reflection of excellence and success but also a symbol of an achievement of the highest order.
