Keystone Pharmacy Launches Keystone Nutrition, Private Label Supplement Lines

Nov. 13, 2013 - PRLog -- West Michigan’s premier compounding pharmacy said Keystone Nutrition will provide free nutrition consultation services aimed at improving overall health, diet and wellness.  The process begins with a comprehensive health assessment that reviews medical history, dietary habits, health conditions and exercise frequency before making recommendations designed to identify – and rectify – the source of health problems, not just treat the symptoms.

Patients will also receive recommendations for pharmaceutical-grade supplements, including Keystone’s own privately branded line of nearly 60 supplements, including vitamin D 5000IU, liquid vitamin B12 and a 35-billion unit probitic.  Keystone has also introduced Altimza®, a second line of customized, pharmaceutical-grade supplements designed to enhance the performance of elite athletes.  Pharmaceutical grade certifies that the supplements meet the highest standards for production purity and concentration, sourcing and sanitation.

Keystone Nutrition is led by Brandi Grimmer, a certified nutritional consultant and certified pharmacy technician with 10 years of experience at Keystone.  She is supported by Kip Ploeg, who serves as sales manager and webmaster.

Nutritional consultations require an appointment but can be done over the phone or in person at Keystone Pharmacy, 4021 Cascade Road SE near the intersection with I-96.  Grimmer asks that patients complete a five-page personal health assessment, which provides her with background on medical history and health conditions, as well as extensive information on dietary habits.  She will then pinpoint areas that need the most attention and make recommendations on supplements and other lifestyle changes.

“I believe that total health is dependent on proper diet, exercise and nutritional supplementation,” Grimmer explained.  “My goal is to help my patients meet their health goals by better aligning sleep, lifestyle, diet, medication and supplements.

“I also believe that not all supplements are created equal, so we offer only pharmaceutical-grade supplements.  In addition to our own line, we carry other quality brands such as Metagenics, Ortho Molecular Products and Carlson’s to give our patients the best choices.”

Follow-up sessions can be scheduled as necessary.  Grimmer plans to provide an educational component to her sessions, encouraging clients to bring in articles they have read or questions they have in for discussion.
