By: RAWSTOCK Media "Every Day Is A Journey" is a Synergistic Cinema project, an episodic narrative series told in six chapters with no predetermined arc. Each chapter is directed by six distinct Seattle filmmakers. This offbeat storytelling technique required each director and his team to use the characters and story threads introduced by the previous chapter in order to continue the narrative. Before each director could begin work on his own chapter, all of the previous chapters had already screened for audiences at the RAWSTOCK Film Festival, which has showcased edgy short films pushing the boundaries of filmmaking for the past 10 years. "EDIAJ" tells the story of small-time hustlers and yoga enthusiasts, quickly accelerating into a hilarious, operatic crime drama involving numerous kidnappings and unexpected pathos. The project features some of Seattle's rising filmmakers and actors, including a breakout performance by Nate Quiroga a.k.a. Buffalo Madonna of the notorious rap group Mad Rad and the acclaimed new indie band Iska Dhaaf. Notable chapter directors include Christian Palmer ("William Never Married") and Webby Award winner Jason Reid ("Sonicsgate") Palmer recently directed Quiroga again in his new short film "Night Visions," which is screening at the next RAWSTOCK Film Festival on Wednesday, Dec. 11 at Northwest Film Froum (1515 12th Ave).
