Screen legend Catherine Deneuve returns to Australian cinema screens

Nov. 12, 2013 - PRLog -- New French film On My Way (Elle S'En Va) tells the story of Bettie (played by screen legend Catherine Deneuve) who is in her early sixties.  Jilted by her lover, she is left alone to deal with the financial problems facing her family’s restaurant.  She gets in her car to go for a drive round the block to get away from it all.  But the journey turns out not quite like she had planned: there are chance meetings, an ex-Miss France gala, renewed ties with her estranged daughter, the realisation she has a grandson, and at the end of the road, love…opening new horizons.

The film is directed by Emmanuelle Bercot, also stars France's pop sensation Camille, and features music by Rufus Wainwright, Grizzly Bear & The Divine Comedy.

Catherine Deneuve is set to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award at this year's European Film Awards in Berlin in December.

ON MY WAY which screened in competition at the Berlin Film Festival recently, is being released nationally on Australian screens on November 28th by Umbrella Entertainment.
