Kleinfelder names Michael Foster as new San Diego Regional Delivery Manager

SAN DIEGO - Nov. 12, 2013 - PRLog -- SAN DIEGO, California – Kleinfelder (http://www.kleinfelder.com/) has expanded the expertise offered to its clients with the appointment of Michael Foster as the new Southern California Coastal regional delivery manager. His role is central to developing energy, government, and transportation business in the company’s San Diego, Irvine and Navy program offices.

Foster comes to the position with more than 27 years of environmental consulting experience and is also a member of Kleinfelder’s Principal Professionals Group. In his new position, Foster will draw on his experience as the company’s U.S. Navy client account manager and deputy program manager on the Navy CLEAN contract. The Navy CLEAN program is a $100 million, five-year contract with Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southwest (NAVFAC SW), currently in its fourth year.

“Michael brings a thorough understanding of the architecture and environmental industry’s critical issues, which will help ensure the services Kleinfelder offers and the way they are delivered are aligned with the needs of our clients,” said West Division Delivery Manager Joe Aldern.

“In the next five years, Southern California is forecast to become one of the United States’ engineering capitals, and I will work diligently to ensure that Kleinfelder is amongst the most prominent in the region,” said Foster. He added that the company plans to leverage its global technical network and design, engineering, and environmental services to deliver complete project solutions that benefit its clients and the local economy.

Foster holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and Geotechnics from Portsmouth University (England), a Master of Science in Geography from Rhodes University (South Africa), and a PhD in Geology from the University of Minnesota. He is a registered professional geologist in California.
