AuDeo Provide Video Conferencing to Help Produce Newly Released Film, Gravity

BASINGSTOKE, U.K. - Nov. 12, 2013 - PRLog -- AuDeo Systems Ltd (http://www.audeo.co.uk), Visual Communications Specialists provided a Video Conferencing solution that played a vital role in the post-production process of newly released film “Gravity”.

AuDeo supplied, installed and supported two Polycom HDX Video Conferencing Units for the post-production team of “Gravity”.  AuDeo provided Polycom HDX Video Conferencing systems for Mark Sanger’s London office and for the Film Director, Alfonso Cuaron in Pisa, Italy.  Video calls were made to the Film Director sending 720p digital video and audio.  Feeds from Velocity’s Avid film production equipment were used to send video through the HDX.

In a behind the scenes interview published in MovieScope Magazine the Editor of Gravity, Mark Sanger says “Audeo supplied the hardware necessary to streamlive HD video from my Avid direct to a plasma screen elsewhere in the world”.

When questioned on how digital technology has changed the editing / collaborative process Mark Sanger highlighted that AuDeo’s Video Conferencing technology helped his team to collaborate effectively during the post-production process: “The reaction of a group of people to a cut while all in the same darkened room is very different than if the same group are watching the same cut independently of each other, perhaps even in different countries. They might even make crucial judgements based upon a viewing on their laptop in an airport lounge. That’s where Audeo helped us on Gravity. Their technology ensured traditional creative environments could be maintained separately and yet simultaneously”.
