Working exclusively in the digital medium, accepted works will be formatted into PDF downloads following standard paperback dimensions. Works will also be stylized by Vacant, given a unique cover and font to match the author's style and content.
Vacant seeks to differ from both blog-style and traditional print publications through this formatting, combining the extensive outreach afforded by digital distribution with the aesthetic touch of print. The website also claims no ownership of the writers' work, ensuring that their intellectual property remains under their control.
Interested authors and writers may learn more about Vacant Press and submit their work at www.vacantpress.com.
About Vacant Press:
Vacant Press exists to provide authors, writers, and essayists with a place to have their work published. All are welcome to submit: new writers looking to boost their credits, established writers who want to publish works that have been sitting in a drawer, or casual writers who simply want to share their work with an audience.
About the Editor:
Rory Cooper received a degree in English from the University of New Hampshire, where he focused on fiction and creative nonfiction writing in addition to traditional literature studies. After copywriting and promoting within the classical music industry for three years, Rory returned to his native southwest New Hampshire and founded Vacant Press to promote original work from writers local and otherwise.
