TeamUltra announce new mobile device management event

London seminar brings together expert speakers to discuss key issues related to managing enterprise mobility

MAIDENHEAD, U.K. - Nov. 12, 2013 - PRLog -- TeamUltra today announced the launch of a new event looking at the key issues in managing enterprise mobility and mobile device management.  Attendees will learn from leading edge solution providers such as TeamUltra, Matrix42 and case study presentations, how to implement best practice mobile device management whilst avoiding the common pitfalls associated with developing greater control over the corporate mobile environment.

Managing mobile devices is growing increasingly complicated as the number of operating systems, hardware platforms and apps in use multiplies exponentially.  Theft and lost phones are a major issue with 10,000 devices lost or stolen in one month in London alone – and the figure is rising.  Additionally, according to analysts, 73% of companies are struggling with the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) trend which is forcing IT departments to tackle security, compliance and increased workloads without any corresponding rise in resource levels.

It is therefore clear to see why organisations need a robust mobile device management strategy.  TeamUltra have brought together a panel of experts including Matrix42 and Oxford Brookes University for a morning seminar that will provide advice and best practice guidance on mobile device management.

Mike Beale, Managing Director of TeamUltra said, “The challenge posed by growing use of mobile devices and BYOD in the workplace is pushing stretched IT departments to the limit.  The ability to respond quickly when a device is lost or stolen can mean the difference between sensitive corporate data being securely wiped and distributed freely on the internet. Our event will show organisations how to effectively manage and control the mobile environment whilst supporting user’s requirements for greater flexibility and business agility.  It is possible to achieve this without sacrificing security and control.”

Presentations include the impact of IT consumerisation in the corporate world and why organisations actually need a mobile device management strategy.  Guest speakers include Matrix42 who will demonstrate the capabilities of their mobile device management solution and its integration with the service desk.  A case study presentation from Oxford Brookes University will show how automating mobile device management can be achieved.  The event will conclude with practical guidance on how to create and deliver a mobile device management strategy.

“Who Needs Mobile Device Management?” is a free business event on 28th November in London.  Key benefits of attending include:

1. Learning new techniques and strategies for mobile device management

2.  Understanding the capabilities of a modern mobile device management solution

3.  Discovering how to effectively integrate mobile device management with the service desk

4.  An opportunity for attendees to network with their peers
