Acclaim Legal Services Participates in American Bankruptcy Institute Consumer Bankruptcy Conference

DETROIT - Nov. 11, 2013 - PRLog -- American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI), the largest multi-disciplinary organization dedicated to research and education on matters related to insolvency,  has chosen Attorney Christopher Jones of Acclaim Legal Services as a planning committee member and moderator for their event, “Detroit 9^th Annual Bankruptcy Institute:  Consumer Bankruptcy Conference” being held today in Detroit, Michigan.

ABI’s conference and workshop panelists always include expert practitioners and bankruptcy judges who provide a unique perspective.  On November 11, 2013, Attorney Chris Jones, managing attorney at Acclaim Legal Services, will be joining Judge and other attorney panel members to discuss: “The Chapter 13 Model Plan – One Year Later. “  Recent administrative Order No. 12-05 requires all chapter 13 cases filed in the Eastern District of Michigan to use the new Model Plan 3.0. This year’s panelists will discuss:

·         The most common challenges with the new Chapter 13 Plan;

·         Frequent alterations and strategies for Plan proponents;

·         Administration observations from the office of the chapter 13 trustee after one year.
