Fowler White Boggs Welcomes Three Associates to the Firm

 
Nov. 11, 2013 - PRLog -- Tampa & Fort Lauderdale, FL - Fowler White Boggs is pleased to announce that Amanda G. Chafin, C. Lisa Lee and Mary Beth Ricke have joined the firm as associates. All three were summer associates at Fowler White Boggs in 2012.

Every year Fowler White Boggs recruits law students from all across the country for its summer associate program.  This program is designed for second-year law students interested in permanent employment after graduation.

“Hiring bright, young associates from top law schools continues to be an integral part of our recruiting efforts.  In addition to the three associates joining us now, we recently completed our 2013 summer program and four more associates will be starting in 2014,” said Rhea F. Law, Chair and CEO of Fowler White Boggs.

Amanda G. Chafin is an associate in the firm’s Employment Practice Group, and will practice in the firm’s Tampa office.  Ms. Chafin will concentrate her practice in the areas of labor and employment law, focusing on matters involving allegations of sexual harassment, disability discrimination, FMLA violations, and race and national origin discrimination.  She received her J.D., cum laude, from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, where she served as the Primary Editor of the Washington University Journal of Law and Policy.  She earned her B.S., cum laude, in Psychology from the University of Florida.

C. Lisa Lee is an associate in the firm’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group, and will practice in the firm's Tampa office.  Ms. Lee will focus her practice in business and commercial litigation, including large and small corporations in various industries, developers, financial institutions and property owners.  She received her J.D. from Duke University School of Law, where she served as Vice President of Career Development for the Women Law Students Association.  She earned her B.S.B.A. in Finance, cum laude, from the University of Florida.

Mary Beth Ricke is an associate in the firm’s Employment Practice Group, and will practice in the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office.  Ms. Ricke will concentrate her practice in the areas of labor and employment law, focusing on sexual harassment matters, FMLA cases, FLSA overtime, wrongful termination, wage, and unemployment claims.  She received her J.D., cum laude, from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, where she served as the Chief Executive Notes and Projects Editor for the Washington University Journal of Law & Policy.  She earned her B.A. in History, cum laude, from Rhodes College.
