Mr. Sudip Bandyopadhyay during his interaction with students here, stressed upon the importance of the role of intermediaries in the financial services sector and that they should be regulated for effective financial inclusion.

He began the session by describing the role of payment systems and how poverty alleviation could be achieved by improving their reach into the rural market. He invoked interest in students by talking about how a poor man would probably keep all his money under a mattress and why it is essential to provide such people with means of investing money in financial instruments.

The Business Orientation Program (BOP) at IMT Hyderabad is conducted every year for duration of two weeks in the month of November. The purpose of this program is to help students discern and perceive the corporate structure in detail and make use of extensive career opportunities available to them.
