ATLANTA - Nov. 11, 2013 - PRLog -- The Rainmaker Group, a world leader in automated revenue management software (http://www.LetItRain.com) and services for the multifamily housing and gaming/hospitality industries, is pleased to announce the addition of veteran hospitality executive Erik Browning as Vice President of Business Consulting for Rainmaker’s Gaming/Hospitality Division.

Browning is an accomplished hospitality industry professional with senior level revenue management and operations experience. He came to Rainmaker after nearly twelve years with Hilton Worldwide where, as a revenue management executive overseeing over 100 hotels through his tenure, he was responsible for more than 10,000 rooms and $1 billion in revenue.  For six years prior, while with Winegardner & Hammons, a hotel management and ownership company with 26 hotels, Browning served as Assistant General Manager and Director of Operations for numerous brands including Embassy Suites, Marriott and Holiday Inn.

“With his wealth of experience at Hilton and other hotels in both revenue management and operations capacities, Erik deeply understands the point of view of Rainmaker customers,” said John Wallace, President of Rainmaker’s Gaming/Hospitality Division. “His solid hospitality and revenue management background makes him the perfect addition to our team.  In addition to providing business consulting services to our clients, I am relying on Erik to provide insights and advice to enhance and deliver our pricing and optimization (http://www.letitrain.com/gaming-and-hospitality-product-s...) systems, including GuestREV® and GroupREV®.”

Company Growth with Expansion of Products and Customer Base Fuels Demand for Additional Resources

The accelerated growth of Rainmaker, including the expansion of its products and customer base, has fueled the demand to add another key resource to the Rainmaker team.

“There is a lot of forward movement and momentum in the hospitality industry today given the increasing ADR and occupancy percentages for both transient and group guests. As consumer demand has expanded, and is expected to continue, so too has the demand from hotels for a disciplined focus on pricing and revenue management,” said Wallace. “The tide is rising and properties are more tuned in to capturing and incorporating guest value to increase property profitability through the use of systems like ours.  Erik understands the level of sophistication required by the hotels to deliver the expected results.”

“I am absolutely thrilled to join the industry-leading provider of pricing and revenue management software which forecasts and optimizes based on total customer value,” said Erik Browning.  “It was important to me to join an organization that is continually improving itself and it has demonstrated this with the introduction of GroupREV, the most innovative system out there which optimizes group pricing.  Rainmaker’s growth path and strong dedication to innovation, coupled with its expertise, customer focus and stability in the market, are all traits that attracted me to the organization.  I’m just loving it here because now I can apply my knowledge in revenue management across the globe for many different brands with varying needs.”

In addition to a having solid track record in hospitality revenue management leadership, Browning also serves as an Adjunct Professor at Boston University, where he developed and taught its first Revenue Management Course. It is now a requirement for graduation in the hospitality program.  Browning holds a BS in Hotel Administration from Cornell University and is currently enrolled in the MBA program at Harvard University. He is also fluent in Norwegian and versed in Japanese.
