Kimberton Waldorf School Stages Keyboard Mania Concert

PHOENIXVILLE, Pa. - Nov. 11, 2013 - PRLog -- A concert is being held to benefit Kimberton Waldorf School on November 14 at 7:00 pm at the Colonial Theatre, located at 227 Bridge Street, Phoenixville, PA. Kimberton Waldorf School is the second-oldest Waldorf School in North America, serving approximately 300 students from early childhood through grade twelve.

The concert offers a unique evening of professional keyboard artistry featuring some of the top performers in the Philadelphia area. The musical styles will be as diverse as the instruments, covering classical, jazz, pop, and more. In addition to solo pieces, there will be keyboard collaborations, including four-hand piano. Attendees will have the opportunity to get to know the stories behind the music and the musicians with insightful onstage conversations with the artists.

“At Kimberton Waldorf School, we provide a music-rich experience for children through singing and instrumental music. Music is enlivening and increases the capacity for learning,” says Kevin Hughes, Dean of School. “We hope the community will join us for a lively night of music and entertainment.”

All proceeds benefit the Kimberton Waldorf School Steinway Restoration Fund, which helps to repair, restore, and maintain the schools three Steinway grand pianos. The pianos are used extensively for eurythmy classes, vocal classes, school recitals, the school musical, craft show music, and public performances.

Tickets for the concert are $10 for students, $20 for adults, and $40 for Gold Circle (seating in the first row). For further event details and to purchase tickets, please visit: http://www.kimberton.org/keyboardmania.
