Attorney David Gregory Supports Capital Improvements at Hardee’s Iceplex Hockey Lounge

ST. LOUIS - Nov. 11, 2013 - PRLog -- Attorney David Gregory, a founding partner at Clayton-based law firm Drivers Defense Counsel (www.driversdefensecounsel.com), has made a significant financial donation to fund capital improvements at the Hardee’s Iceplex Ice Arena in Chesterfield.

Gregory’s donation enables construction of a comfortable lounge with state-of-the-art programmable, big screen monitors so coaches, players and families can view sports demonstrations and team strategies while on the premises.  The Iceplex is a modern 115,000- square-foot facility with two professional size arenas and a showcase Olympic size arena with seating for 2,200 people. It is a popular destination in Chesterfield for skaters, hockey teams and competitions from across Missouri.

“I believe it is vital for attorneys and other professionals to give back to their communities not only with pro bono services but personal time and money as well,” asserts Gregory, age 28, who earned an MBA and his Juris Doctor law degree at Saint Louis University.

Gregory is a volunteer coach at the Iceplex who helps young hockey players improve their skills and appreciate the values of determination, sportsmanship and teamwork. He says, “Working with young athletes has taught me a lot. I’ve learned that, much like working with clients, you have to deal with each individual differently.  Contributing time and money to causes that I believe in is gratifying on many levels,” says Gregory, who played as a member of the Jr. Blues Hockey Team when he was in high school.

“As a lifelong hockey fan and amateur player, community service is one way for me to give back to the community where I grew up and to encourage positive values for the next generation of kids who will enter college and start careers in a very competitive world.”
