Video Conferencing Users Use Video Often

Video Conferencing Decision Maker Series - 4. Non-users of Video Conferencing often say that they have no demand for Video Conferencing from their staff or executives. What changes this status quo?

BASINGSTOKE, U.K. - Nov. 11, 2013 - PRLog -- AuDeo Systems Ltd (http://www.audeo.co.uk), Visual Communications Specialists today released the fourth in a series of opinion pieces written by AuDeo’s Managing Director, Kevin Wilson incorporating key observations, thoughts and views on Video Conferencing and the decision making process which organisations tend to follow.

It is often said by non-users of Video Conferencing that they have no demand for Video Conferencing from their staff or executives. So what changes this status quo?

Sometimes a new Executive joins who has history with VC, sometimes a new customer or supplier encourages dialogue to use it, who knows, but there is always a catalyst.

Whatever happens, it is our experience that once Video Conferencing is deployed properly, then it rapidly becomes a “needed” technology and a strategic part of a company’s communications strategy.

It is inconceivable nowadays that corporate communications does NOT include Video. Video is everywhere in all parts of our lives and it is not news to say that a “picture speaks a thousand words”. What we read in a book over two weeks, we can absorb in two hours from a DVD video and in High Definition the stimulus is even more compelling.

Most corporate employees have experience with computers and have used audio or video at home with tablets, smartphones and browser based connections. To move to business level and quality devices is a small step and in fact most are more surprised if the company DOES NOT communicate via VC rather than the other way round. Meeting face to face is something we do everyday – if all our voice calls can also be face to face – imagine the improvement in communications. No misunderstandings, smiles make you feel good and nodding infers agreement, Video Conferencing not only delivers the high quality communications we demand but also begins to pay for itself as soon as you start to use it. The more you use it, the more successful you will be.

The conclusion can only be, successful companies deploy Video Conferencing and use it often.
