Marco et les Torvis is all set to capture the center stage of Emergenza ’14

MONTREAL - Nov. 11, 2013 - PRLog -- The latest edition of Emergenza is going to be the most vibrant and entertaining music fest of all time. There are so many highly popular music bands that are getting associated with this event, and they are going to compete with the emerging music talents; which have made this event even more interesting. Another popular French band has joined the contest of Emergenza 2014, in this series. Its none other than the sparkling band Marco et les Torvis, which is having a grand entry in this competition from Ste-Hélène de Bagot, Canada.
It’s going to be the first time in Emergenza that Marco et les Torvis is going to be featured in this biggest music fest for unsigned band. However, the band has been in action, since year 2005. After 3 year of great struggle and dedicated hard work towards their music, they signed a record deal with the well known music production house- Sphere Music, in 2008’s August. They worked together on many record labels like Jonathan Painchaud, Antoine Gratton, Les Respectables, Mélanie Renaud and many more. But, in 2010, they ended the association with Sphere music, and since then they have been pursuing an independent musical journey.
The band Marco et les Torvis known for its festive and folk music and it’s led by Macro Bouchard who is the lead singer and guitarist in the band, and there are 6 other multitalented musicians in the troop, which call themselves Les Torvis. The complete lineup of the band since December 2012 is as follows:
Marco: Voice, stress, unintentional humor for lyrics and guitar.
Yanik Garon: guitar, bass, drums, trumpet, flute, bass, harmonica, vocal, piano, mandolin, pans
David Jolin: saxophone, clarinet, percussion, flute, slide whistle, wheel tape.
Josiane Rouette: trumpet
Eric Pothier: battery
Dave Hamel: harmonica, and unconventional instruments
Olivier Beaudry: bass
In their last album Per Sylvam, Denis Lemieux (bass) and André Brunet (violin) also supported them, so we can expect these two fine musicians in their troop at Emergenza 2014, as well.
