LOS ANGELES - Nov. 10, 2013 - PRLog -- November 10, 2013 Los Angeles, CA -----Saturday November16, 2013-- Southern California based Pastors and Partnering Churches have come together in a collaborative effort to feed, clothe, pray and provide shelter information for individuals in the downtown skid-row area. Join us to oppose SNAP cuts and support right to feed the homeless. It will be a peaceful gathering to meet and show support for the homeless. The goal is to feed 500 people a hot thanksgiving meal, provide Blankets, Socks and sweaters or sweatshirts for 500 people. We will have treatment facilities there to take a person into the facility that wants to get into treatment right at that time, we will have homeless shelters there to provide a place to live for individuals at that time, we will have counselors and case managers on site to assist whoever shows up, we will have choirs, testimonies from recovered Christian people, we will have grief and loss, domestic violence counselors there. Anyone who shows up in any situation will be able to get assistance. The Weingart Foundation is hosting us on their parking lot by allowing us to use it for this effort. They have provided the safe space, parking and use of their Tents if there should be rain. We will go forward rain, snow or shine. All media outlets are invited.
