The Fashion Umbrella begins search for interns for fundraising initiatives

BALTIMORE - Nov. 10, 2013 - PRLog -- The Fashion Umbrella, facilitator and organizer of the fundraising initiatives UNDER and Baltimore Fashion Week are looking for interns to assist in the production phases for these initiatives.

The search for qualified interns begins January 2014.  This search opens up opportunities for middle/high school students who are interested in receiving community service hours required for graduation in the State of Maryland.  College students interested in receiving credits towards a fashion degree are also encouraged to register.  Opportunities are also available for interns to work at the Fashion Umbrella office.

Interested students must possess a user knowledge of Office 2010/365.  Registrants must be able to speak well and interact with various levels of fashion colleagues and guests.  Students must have perfect attendance; and/or a “B” or 3.0 GPA (Grade Point Average).  The minimum age to register is 13.

The 2014 Internship Packet is available for downloading on the Fashion Umbrella’s website under Education and on the sites of its fundraising initiatives UNDER – the PETITE fashion event (www.undertheevent.com) and Baltimore Fashion Week (www.baltimore-fashionweek.com).  Installation of Adobe Reader must be installed on the respective computer before downloading.
