Nigerian Doctor Bags Two Prestigious Awards in London

The first EVER medical professional to accomplish this feat!

A Zambian-born Nigerian Doctor based in the United Kingdom, Dr Nkem (Ezeilo) Thompson, has just achieved a hat-trick of awards this year, having won 2 prestigious awards in London in the same week, after winning one earlier this year.

Dr Nkem, a General Practitioner, Motivational Speaker and Author based in London,  won the Gathering of Africa's Best (GAB) Award for Excellence for contributions in the area  of Health, at a ceremony that took place in the Hilton Hotel , Paddington London on the 27th of October 2013.

5 short days later, she was at the Marriot in Bexleyheath, South London, where she won the LifeChangers "Female Personality of The Year 2013" Award in a glamorous ceremony.

Earlier in the year, in may 2013, the dynamic doctor, dubbed ‘The Motivational Medic’ by the media, had bagged the Women4Africa "Motivational Speaker of The Year 2013" Award at an event in London also.

These accolades are in recognition of Dr Nkem's passion and tireless efforts in bringing to the public the message of a Healthy Lifestyle as THE way to reverse and prevent such illnesses as Diabetes and Hypertension, as well as being THE way to maintain and develop your greatest asset (health is the greatest wealth). Her popular 'Pillars of A Healthy Lifestyle' form the foundation for her speeches, coaching programs, and consultation.

A qualified Professional Peak Perfomance Coach, Dr Nkem is a sought-after keynote speaker and has spoken to diverse audiences including the general public, Business leaders and most recently spoke at the British House of Parliament as part of the Black History Month celebrations. She was recognised as one of ten Nigerians of note in the diaspora, in the maiden edition of the magazine of the Nigerian House of Representatives, ‘WAZOBIA Diasporan’ in June 2013.

She is a prolific writer and is widely published online and offline, and has been quoted as the Health Expert in such magazines as Psychologies, Red, Pride magazine. She is the author of several books including the popular ‘Inspirational Blueprints of Personal Success for Women’ - the 2nd edition of which is due out early next year. She’s also currently rounding up work on a health-related book due out next year.
