Pasadena (CA) October 24, 2013 – The Academy of Special Dreams Foundation announced today that it has been honored with a prestigious 2013 Top-Rated Award by Great Nonprofits, the leading provider of user reviews about nonprofit organizations.

“We are excited to be named a Top-Rated 2013 Nonprofit,” said Michael Dergar, CEO and Founder of the Academy of Special Dreams Foundation.  “Our mission is to increase public awareness about the creative talents of artists with disabilities so they can be successful in the arts.  We are proud of our accomplishments this year which include sponsoring exhibitions by our artists in residence at prestigious local museums, colleges and universities.”

The Top-Rated Nonprofit award was based on the large number of positive reviews that the Academy of Special Dreams Foundation received – reviews written by volunteers, donors and clients.  People posted their personal experience with the nonprofit.  For example, one client wrote,

While the Top-Rated Awards run through the end of October, the Academy of Special Dreams Foundation was part of the inaugural group to qualify for the year.
