CHICAGO - Nov. 8, 2013 - PRLog -- While you're busy searching for your lost things, your things will be searching for you too, thanks to Chicago-based Start-up crowdfynd. crowdfynd, a free mobile application that is bringing interactive Lost & Found fliers to smartphones and social networks, believes that their new Push Notifications will change the way that people find their missing things.

Here’s how notifications are a Lost & Found game changer. Let’s say that you lost your dog Rex. With crowdfynd, you can show others the exact location where Rex went missing on a map in the app and then choose what types of notifications you want to receive once you’ve posted him as lost. So, in this case, you may choose to only receive notifications for Found Pets within a 60 mile area from where Rex went missing. When another crowdfynd member posts that they have found a dog within 60 miles of your location, you’ll automatically receive a notification on your smartphone. The app is doing your online search heavy lifting, letting you focus on searching for Rex elsewhere.

crowdfynd’s Lost posts are similar to the “Lost” fliers that you see taped to light posts, but come with social features such as comments, multiple photo sharing and direct messaging to allow for easy interaction with the crowdfynd community. With crowdfynd’s notifications, you will be automatically alerted anytime an activity occurs on your post, so you can be sure your notifications are actionable. Also, your posts are easily shared via Facebook and Twitter, which quickly spreads the word about Rex to your community and widens the search party.
