MURPHY, N.C. - Nov. 8, 2013 - PRLog -- The latest addition to the FutureCycle Press (www.futurecycle.org) catalog is a new chapbook of poetry, The Knife Collector by Jesse Breite.

The Knife Collector features a speaker who cannot escape weighing each present moment and image against the parallel narratives of his youth and his family in Arkansas. While traveling through time and space, these poems explore the physical, emotional, and spiritual landscape that is his youth and negotiates a path to his fledgling adult life in Atlanta, Georgia.

Jesse Breite’s poetry has appeared in Tar River, The Nashville Review, Prairie Schooner, and many other print and online journals and magazines. He has been featured in Town Creek Poetry and The Southern Poetry Anthology, Volume V: Georgia. The Knife Collector is his first chapbook, though his unpublished, full-length manuscript, Two Rivers, was a finalist for two book prizes (The Texas Review Press and Red Mountain Press).

Jesse Breite was raised in Little Rock, Arkansas, and considers it his home. After living in Chicago and Baltimore, he moved back south to Atlanta, Georgia, where he currently resides, to marry his wife, Emily.

FutureCycle Press will also publish a Kindle edition of The Knife Collector before the end of the year.
