Great Food Jobs 2: Ideas and Inspiration for Your Job Hunt by Irena Chalmers is a companion to the award-winning Food Jobs: 150 Great Jobs for Culinary Students, Career Changers, and Food Lovers. This second volume describes an abundance of careers in the food industry, in and out of the kitchen. In an era of txt msgs, Chalmers’ Great Food Jobs 2 is refreshingly erudite, urbane, wry, witty, and consummately British. This sparkling, extraordinary compendium will astonish and amuse, inform and make you laugh aloud!

Great Food Jobs 2 will introduce the wide range of career opportunities available when you earn an Associate of Occupied Science (AOS) or Bachelors of Professional Studies (BPS) degree. Great Food Jobs 2 will also appeal to career changers and food lovers suggesting new ways to look at potential job opportunities in the food industry.

In this book, Chalmers, who calls herself as a matchmaker, will enable you to evaluate your own unique skills and introduce you to the wide range of options that are readily available. There are hundreds of job opportunities in the multi-billion dollar food world and Great Food Jobs 2 will gently guide you to some of the most appealing and appropriate careers. First, as Chalmers shows, you will learn the importance of thoroughly researching a company before applying for a position.

Chalmers also explores several specific fields within the hospitality industry since it is essential to understand the many factors that contribute to the success (or failure) of a business. In Great Food Jobs 2, you will learn how to track economic, political, and demographic trends as they affect the hospitality industry and exert a strong influence on your food job choices.
