ELMIRA, N.Y. - Nov. 8, 2013 - PRLog -- Julian Raven is a contemporary artist living in Elmira, New York.  Born in Richmond Upon Thames in London England.  Raised on the Mediterranean in Marbella, Spain and now residing with his wife and three children in Elmira, New York.

The Community Arts Center in Elmira New York holds it anual art show/sale known as The Cezanne Show.  The Cezanna show starts on November the 8th, 2013 and runs through November 30th.  Opening hours start on Friday the 8th of November at 5 Pm thru 7 PM.  And on Fridays and Saturdays from 11 AM - 7 PM thru November 30th.

Artist Statement:

I am Artist

Thinking spatially, in pictures and in color comes naturally to me. Images rapidly fill the spaces in my mind that my inner eyes perceive in the inner and outer worlds. Blank canvasses become art. Empty walls come to life. The seemingly hopeless suddenly begins to breath again as vision is born.

This gifting, I have discovered, works across many realms of creative existence. Artistically, it functions in different media, both two-dimensionally and three-dimensionally, whether painting, designing, woodworking or taking photographs. They all work as dramatic stages upon which my gifts perform.

For many years as an entrepreneur, I have built businesses seemingly out of thin air, as my ‘fine artist’ sat on the bench. My market perception and research allowed me to quickly develop and tailor a business model to a certain economic environment. Within a short period of time, I have enjoyed success in these different endeavors.

However, it is the visual arts, to which my curious, divergent and creatively-inquisitive mind ultimately returns. The new and fresh artistic vision drives me onwards. Connecting with my deep inner-world and releasing the creative experiences through my art is what makes my life's systems hummm!

My art is the one source of expression that keeps pace with the unfolding imagery, visions and ideas that develop within. My search for the 'ultimate language' is on. The desire to download intelligibly to the world around me produces this ever-constant tension and challenge. These elements drive the engines within me to visualize, create, design, invent and to produce, until that which is unseen and unsaid can be understood!
