ScottMadden Polls HR Professionals on Biggest Challenges in their Organization

ATLANTA - Nov. 8, 2013 - PRLog -- ScottMadden, Inc., a general management consulting firm, posed this question to HR professionals:  “What is your HR organization’s biggest challenge right now?” Attracting talent was the predominant answer, receiving more than 36 percent of responses. Managing/retaining talent and preparing for healthcare changes followed close behind, accounting for more than 21 percent of the responses.

These findings suggest that talent is still at the forefront of most leaders’ minds, which also aligns with the Conference Board’s recent CEO Challenge 2013 results. This recent report found that the number one challenge globally as reported by CEOs taking the survey was Human Capital.

“Talent is and will remain a priority for most companies as the fight for global talent continues. Regardless of the industry, there continues to be a mismatch of desired skillsets with skills available, forcing many companies to focus internally for talent. I’d expect to see stronger development opportunities across the board in 2014,” says Tina Krebs, partner and human resources practice leader at ScottMadden.
