BioFach India 2013 set to show case Global Organic Progress

BANGALORE, India - Nov. 8, 2013 - PRLog -- : The fifth edition of BioFach India - 2013, an initiative of Nuremberg Messe India Pvt Ltd., in collaboration with Department of Agriculture, Government of Karnataka and International Competence Centre for Organic Agriculture (ICCOA)  is all set to take off from November 14 – 16 at Bangalore Palace, Vasanthnagar Entrance, Bangalore to be inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Siddaramaiah with Chief Guest Hon’ble Minister for Govt. of India Shri Tariq Anwar and Guest of Honour Hon’ble Minister for Agriculture Sri Krishna Byre Gowda, Dr. Shamnoor Shivashankarappa Hon’ble Minister for Horticulture  and Shri D. B. Chandre Gowda Hon’ble Member of Parliament and Shri Roshan Baigh Hon’ble MLA. The event attracts interested visitors from production, manufacturing, trade and services and it is the single largest platform where various stake-holders in the organic value chain congregate to network.

The three day Organic Food trade event, will offer visiting exhibitors and professionals from across Globe - a vibrant showcase of healthy, sustainable, organic delicacies and speciality ingredients from 10  International organic food ingredients and drink suppliers. Manoj Menon, Executive Director, ICCOA says “Current year’s initiative also includes creation of an online platform for compiling all information for organic projects present in Karnataka State and a Buyer mission to remain collected for marketing.

The attraction also includes International buyers who will come from Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Berlin, USA, Indonesia, and South Korea. The main components of the fair are exhibitions, an International conference consisting of various eminent speakers, addressing on various Organic & agricultural aspects such as Dr. Suh Chong Hyuk President IFOAM Asia, Mr. Frank Eyhorn, Gerald Herrmann, etc. This event is supported by, NABARD Bangalore and IFAOM.

In addition to a central exhibition, the new event will feature the Live chef sessions, Farmer program, School Children awareness program and Consumer Connect program by The Alternatives which will focus spreading awareness amongst children which will also include insightful sessions from leading industry organisations, such as “Nature on my Plate”.  Whilst notable speakers also include Mr. Bala Raj from 24 Mantra who will be giving important industry advice with focus to industry, what to eat etc kind of topic

Last year “BioFach India together with India Organic, 2012, took place from 10–12 November 2012, in Bangalore.  The Trade fair was graced by 163 (figures) satisfied exhibitors and 7000 highly interested visitors including trade buyers from 16 (countries). The whole diversity of the international organic community was shown in at Bangalore on the three days of the exhibition, which was characterized by business talks and professional and intercultural exchange. Biofach is held in Japan, the United States, South America and China apart from India.
