BARNSTAPLE, U.K. - Nov. 8, 2013 - PRLog -- South Molton is preparing to play host to North Devon’s biggest Vintage and Makers Market yet, to be held on Saturday 16th November.  The event is the latest in a series of these highly successful markets which are strengthening North Devon’s growing reputation as a centre for all things Vintage. The event takes place in the historic South Molton Assembly Rooms from 9 am to 3 pm.

The South Molton Vintage and Makers Market will be showcasing 30 different stallholders, the highest number the organisers of these fairs have seen to date. “This will be our biggest Vintage and Makers Market so far and there’s a lot of excitement,” says organiser Rosemary Hallett, from Once Upon a Time. “We have an amazing list of sellers, with a lovely mix of handmade goodies, kitchenalia, furniture, French fabrics, unique and different gifts for Christmas, and some fabulous vintage and retro items from established names in the business. Homes and Antiques Magazine will also be with us.

“Our sellers come from all over the South West, including Cornwallvintage Vintagecornwall, based in Launceston, Liz van Hasselt’s Washerwoman from Taunton, lampshade makers Kookoli from Exeter, and Rosiebud Decorative Vintage from Tiverton.  And of course we have some of the best vintage and retro-inspired companies from North Devon too, including Fenela Sadler’s Vintage Collection, Alison Brook’s Vintage Grace, Birdy Jewellery, Donna Flower Vintage Fabrics and From Florence with Love, as well as South Molton’s own Dejunk Diva. We are delighted that some of our stallholders will be there to sell their products for the first time.  One of the aims of these markets is to encourage and support small businesses starting up, and we have been thrilled by the huge support we have received from some of our established sellers.”

Members of the public will be welcome at the event in South Molton’s Assembly Rooms from 9 am on Saturday 16th November. There will be an entry fee of £1.  Homemade teas and cakes will be available, from Rosemary’s Vintage Teas, served on antique china.  The South Molton fair comes hot on the heels of the successful Vintage and Makers Market in Torrington in October, which followed an earlier fair in Tiverton. More markets are planned for 2014.
