Erie County, New York Slated to Go Live with Black Creek Enterprise-class Jail Management System

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Nov. 6, 2013 - PRLog -- SallyPort NY^© is an enterprise-class jail management system that is also currently in use in 31 other Sheriffs’ Offices in New York State.

The SallyPort NY^© System will allow the Erie County Sheriff’s Office to streamline its data handling processes for all aspects of its jail operations.  Additionally, the system will provide sheriff’s office personnel with the ability to browse and transfer inmate data to and from other SallyPort NY^© facilities within the state through Black Creek’s web-based, SallyPort Data Information Exchange (SPIDEX).  The SallyPort NY^© Jail Management System is scheduled to go live at the beginning of the year.

The Erie County maximum security detention facility processes 20,000 inmates annually and has the capacity to hold 1070 inmates.  The inmates classifications include non-arraigned, non-sentenced, sentenced, and federal inmates.  Additionally, the jail population includes males, females, adolescents and adolescents adjudicated as adults.  The SallyPort NY^© Jail Management installation has the flexibility to accommodate this wide diversity.
