CyberAlert Kicks Off 10th Annual PR Grants Program for Non-Profits

Grant Applications Now Open to Charitable Organizations Worldwide

STRATFORD, Conn. - Nov. 5, 2013 - PRLog -- For its 10th Annual PR Grants Program, the worldwide media monitoring service CyberAlert, Inc. (http://www.cyberalert.com/) will award 15 not-for-profit organizations with free media monitoring for the entire year beginning January 2014.

Chosen non-profits will receive a year of free online news monitoring, and may also opt to receive social media monitoring or TV news monitoring — a total value ranging from $3,000 to $6,000 per grant. All non-profit organizations worldwide, excluding past recipients, are welcome to apply for the grant.

The PR Grants Program is CyberAlert’s annual public service and philanthropy program to support national and international non-profits and help them better track and evaluate their public relations and social media programs, said William J. Comcowich, president and CEO of CyberAlert.

“Media monitoring is an essential service all organizations need for growth. But for some organizations, non-profits especially, it might not be a budgeted expense,” Comcowich said. “Our intention is to provide a helping hand to not-for-profit organizations so they can become more effective in the work they do for their communities.”

Since founding the PR Grants Program 10 years ago, CyberAlert has awarded a total of 180 media monitoring grants to non-profit organizations, with a retail value of more than $525,000. CyberAlert expects the value of this year’s grants to exceed $50,000.

CyberAlert has awarded PR grants since 2004 to a wide range of charitable organizations in education, youth services, healthcare services and research, the environment, recreation, and other types of not-for-profit services. The list of previous CyberAlert PR Grant Recipients (http://www.cyberalert.com/pr-grant-award-recipients.html) is available on the CyberAlert website.

CyberAlert is accepting applications through December 31 and will announce the 2014 grant recipients in January. Non-profit organizations interested in applying canuse the online PR Grants application (http://www.cyberalert.com/grantsX.html).
