CLEVELAND - Nov. 5, 2013 - PRLog -- 04-08-2001 The Day That Changed Our World!

On that day our family became part if the nearly 26 million people in the United States that cope with diabetes.

Our son, Paul, who was in grade school at the time was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. It was all quite scary for us to learn how to draw up insulin in a syringe to give your small child a shot 3 times a day so that he would continue to live.

Can you imagine how scary that was for a small child?  In a blink of an eye small things like how long you ride your bicycle is now a big thing.  We were blessed to be able to send Paul to  Camp Ho Mita Koda. He met other children there dealing with Type 1 diabetes like him.

Our goal for this fundraiser is to bring awareness of diabetes and hopeful miracle cures raised through this effort.
