Attorney Michele Stephan Discussed Judicial System Access for Low Income Residents of Sarasota

SARASOTA, Fla. - Nov. 4, 2013 - PRLog -- Michele Stephan, a Plaintiff's attorney from the Sarasota injury law firm of Shapiro Goldman Babboni & Walsh, spoke to a group from the Sarasota Kiwanis Club on access to legal services for the low income residents of Sarasota and Manatee Counties.

The gathering took place at the American Legion clubhouse in Sarasota. As a token of thanks, the Kiwanis donated a children's book entitled, "Have you seen my new blue socks?" to the Venice public library in attorney Stephan's name.

Michele Stephan had this to say about the event, “While the justice system in Florida is robust and effective at protecting the public's individual rights, for many having access to the legal system is difficult. For a variety of reasons chief among them a lack of money. It can be very difficult for many in our area to have the available resources in both money and time to get qualified legal help. My thanks to the Kiwanis and American legion for inviting me to raise this important subject which is vital, yet goes mostly un answered. By increasing awareness more of my peers may make themselves available to those in indeed in our community”
