PALMETTO, Fla. - Nov. 4, 2013 - PRLog -- The Everglades Foundation announced today that Zac Brown Band has graciously agreed to kick off the 20th anniversary of the Foundation by headlining the ninth annual ForEverglades Benefit at the Breakers Palm Beach on Saturday, February 15, 2014.

Zac Brown Band, who have earned three-GRAMMY Awards (including Best New Artist in 2010) are nominated for the 2013 Country Music Awards’ Vocal Group Of The Year and will perform on-air during the broadcast on ABC November 6. With ten #1 hit radio singles, three platinum-selling records and countless dedicated fans, Everglades Foundation supporters will receive an exclusive performance of one of today’s most beloved musicians. Their latest album debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 and consists of traditional country, Caribbean rhythms, and R&B.

The band is made up of seven members – Zac Brown, Jimmy De Martini, John Driskell Hopkins, Coy Bowles, Chris Fryar, Clay Cook, and Daniel de los Reyes – and joins a diverse lineup of artists who have performed at previous ForEverglades Benefits including Jimmy Buffett, Kenny Chesney, Dave Matthews, Sting, John Mellencamp, ZZ Top, Gloria Estefan, and Diana Ross.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to have Zac Brown Band kick off our 20th anniversary celebration,” said Eric Eikenberg, Everglades Foundation CEO. “Restoring and protecting America’s Everglades is very important to all of us and having Zac bring attention to this cause means a lot to the entire organization and its supporters.”

"We are all very excited to have Zac [Brown] and his band joining us this year.  He is such a talented musician and gives back a tremendous amount to his community.  Zac and his band are sure to ignite the stage and put on an unforgettable performance," said Mike Ramos, Benefit Co-Chairman.

The ForEverglades Benefit raises funds annually to support the science, policy, communications, and education programs of the Everglades Foundation.
