The article states that the Sonata sold about 20,000 units, even more than the Elantra which has been Hyundai’s top seller for the past 8 months. The article mentioned that in total Hyundai sold 53,555 vehicles in North America this month, increasing sales from last October by 7%.

According to Dave Zuchowski, HMA executive vice president of national sales, “October was a bit of a roller coaster ride for the entire automotive sector, so we feel pretty good about exceeding prior year sales results and posting our best-ever October performance.”

The article states that Hyundai plans on showing off their new 2014 line of Elantras at the Los Angeles Auto Show later this month, hopefully generating a hype that will lead to an increase of sales in November as well.
