Follow on Google News | One Boy USO to speak at 1st Annual Heroes Ride & GalaCody Jackson, America's One Boy USO will attend the 1st Annual Heroes Ride & Gala Saturday, November 9th in honor of Veteran's Day and to support veterans and active duty military.
By: One Boy USO Cody will be a guest speaker for the event, along with Florida Senator Dorothy Hukill, Chris Noel (model, actress, founder of Vetsville Cease Fire House, a shelter for homeless American veterans, Ms. Noel is a Vietnam War icon having performed in USO shows with Bob Hope), & Jim Moyer (Founder of Honor-Release- All proceeds will benefit Rolling Thunder Chapter 8, The Veteran’s Assistance Coalition and an honorary donation to the Vetsville Cease Fire House; each of these organizations support Central Florida retired and active members of the military. The event will begin with a ceremony at the Flagler County Government Services Building with special guest speakers. A ceremonial motorcycle ride will depart from there and arrive at the Coca-Cola Pavilion at Destination Daytona for a gala event. Cody has been supporting troops from the age of four, ever since he learned of the events of 9/11. Cody has personally shook over 15,500 troops' hands, sent over 4500 pounds of packages since December 2011, supports troops and military families through his FaceBook page of over 54,000 fans and travels the country attending charity events and speaking at schools, veterans groups and other organizations. Cody wrote two children's books to help educate other children about patriotism and to help bring future support for America's troops (Pint Sized Patriots and Standing Tall). He has also been awarded the Gold Presidential Volunteer Service Award for his over 1700 hours of community service served through January 2013 and also recieved the Boy Scout’s National Merit Award, and is a Young Marine Private.
