Local Internet Marketing Entrepreneur Purchases Sacramento Press

Nov. 1, 2013 - PRLog -- It’s official.  The Sacramento Press has a new owner in local Internet Marketing entrepreneur, David Terry.

According to an article published November 1 in the Sacramento Business Journal, Founder Ben Ilfeld chose to sell The Sac Press to Terry because he shared Ilfeld’s goal of moving the local news and advertising website forward as a service to the community.

After reading Sac Press editor Jared Goyette’s article about the state of the website about three weeks ago, Terry reached out to Ben Ilfeld expressing his enthusiasm and interest in acquiring it.  “The Sacramento Press belongs to the community, Terry said. “It deserves to thrive. Management shouldn’t be the reason the Sac Press can’t keep its doors open.”

Terry is well aware that reviving the Sac Press and turning it into a viable business is not without its challenges. “There’s an enormous responsibility that comes with running the Sacramento Press,” Terry admits. “But I’m confident my experience with local businesses and marketing are exactly what the Sacramento Press needs to thrive. I know what business owners want and expect from their advertising budgets, and as an Internet marketer, I have a solid understanding of how important it is to provide informative, relevant local news and community interest content.”

Now that the deal has closed, Terry and his team and have a clear plan in front of them, and there’s nothing left to do, but to simply dive in. The first phase of the Sac Press revival involves implementing strategic changes that will improve internal operations, create better advertising packages, and reach out to local writers and bloggers to create more engaging content while maintaining the integrity of the Sacramento Press’ brand.

Because The Sac Press exists for the benefit of the community, Terry is banking on the support of local business and civic leaders.

“I’ll be readily accessible to our advertisers, contributors, and readers, welcoming all ideas, concerns and suggestions for making The Sac Press the best it can be. I’m looking forward to not only keeping the Sacramento Press running, but make it a staple for online news for years to come.
