Small Translation Company turns a Big 31 on October 31!

OAKLAND, Calif. - Nov. 1, 2013 - PRLog -- With a 40% increase in sales over last year, International Contact, Inc. is celebrating 31 years in Oakland by making big productivity gains with its new business automation software.

“Business has really changed,” says Carla Itzkowich, the company founder and President, “so we are turning our workforce into a 21^st century one, where people work at home and in multiple time zones.” The company plans on hiring 5-6 project managers, not all of them in the USA.

The Multilanguage communications agency provides translation and localization services in over 100 languages to the City of Oakland, Federal and State government agencies, Fortune 1000 corporations, and other small businesses.

Founded in 1982 by a mother and daughter team from Mexico, International Contact’s transformation with technology will allow the pair to expand back to their native country, along with many others.

“Our customers are around the world,” says Norma Armon, International Contact’s creative director, “and now so are we -- enabling us to give them even better service.”

All these changes mean the company has a smaller footprint at the headquarters in Oakland, and is now listing office space for rent.

“Don’t get me started on all the ways technology is changing what we do,” says Itzkowich, “It allowed us to expand into telephonic and video interpretation, pushed us to record with larger and more diverse talent pools, and now this business automation software is incredible!”

Itzkowich acknowledges that hiring people who can work at a higher level with the software may negate the overall savings, but not the productivity gains.
