Marketers and Brands Can Now Have Dynamic Facebook Page Cover Photos

Circus Social has just added a Facebook app to their ever-growing suite of Facebook apps that help social media marketers do more on social media. The dynamic and unique functionality of the Cover Photo Live (http://circussocial.com/solutions/plug-and-play/cover-photo-live.html) app is that it allows users to create a collage of images pulled from Instagram via a single or a combination of hashtags of their choice. The app fetches the latest images tagged with that hashtag and creates a collage of images that can be used as the cover photo of a Facebook page.

The app can also be asked to update the Cover Photo based on a variety of triggers including the total fan count of the page hitting a specific number, or just a time interval based system where the cover photo is updated after every 6 hours or every week, fetching new images based on the hashtag for the Cover Photo.

The Facebook app allows marketers to choose from one of five themes that they’d like to use on their Page and allows them to also source images from the user’s computer, Facebook account, DropBox or Instagram account. The app costs users $15/month to run on a single Facebook page.

While running Photo Contests on their page, marketers can showcase some of the entries in their cover photo using the app, or if the contest is run via Instagram, it can pull in a number of images using the hashtag being used for the competition. The app can also be used to trigger the change of a page’s Cover Photo when they hit 50,000 or 100,000 fans, or to signal the beginning of a contest at a particular time.
