National Speedskating Circuit Announces Free Trials Event

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. - Oct. 31, 2013 - PRLog -- (FEDERAL WAY, WA) – National Speedskating Circuit (NSC), the pre-eminent professional inline speed skating league, today announced the league’s pre-season qualification event will be held this Saturday and Sunday, November 2 and 3, 2013 at Pattison’s West Skating Center in Federal Way, Washington. The event will be broadcast for free over the internet at www.pronsc.com.

According to Miguel Jose, league president and co-founder, the event is gearing up to be an exciting race card. “We’ve got some incredibly talented skaters coming out this weekend to try and earn their spot in the 2014 roster, including top amateur talent, USA Rollersport’s Indoor National World Class Champion Jonathan Blair, who is making his first bid for the NSC, along with USA Rollersport’s Indoor World Class Medalist Michael Ringer, and USA RollerSport’s Sophomore National Champion Thomas Goff. Additionally, there is Nathan Jackson, who just came back from Belgium as a part of the 2013 Junior World Team, and Wilson Ogbemen who traveled all the way from Nigeria.” All totaled, there will be over 20 new faces coming out to try to earn a place in the league. The competition will be intense.

Jose went on, “Anyone who has either been to our qualifier in person, or watched it on the internet, knows that the action is just nuts. These guys are coming all the way across the country to prove that they’ve got what it takes to be counted among the greats. It’s one thing to compete against a guy like (Current NSC Grand Champion) Jarrett Paul at Indoor Nationals, but it’s a very different thing to compete against him inside the NSC format.  Bring your ego and your ‘A Game’, because this is next-level skating like you’ve never known, boys.”

NSC Season Five is going to be an amazing year, with the best line-up of athletes we have ever had on the starting line. Look for past Grand Champions Jarrett Paul, Michael Cheek, and Jake Powers, along with Sprint and Endurance Champions like Jeremy Anderson and Justin Stelly. Then there are the up-and-comers like Zac Sagiao, Wesley Gandy and Isaiah Oliver, and veterans like Stephen Carter.  And let’s not forget some of the other front runners of the league like Brandon Hall and Donavon Sellers.

“The speeds keep getting faster, the races more intense, and the audience continues to grow, too,” said Jose. “And this year, in addition to the schedule in Federal Way, we’re taking the show on the road again.” Fans can look forward to seeing live NSC action at the historic Tacoma Armory in Tacoma, Washington on Jan 18th, then back to Pattison’s West on March 13th, then off to Pittsburg on April 25th, and for our Finale event the location is still TBD.

In addition to Trials, the league continues to work on the development of new race formats, updating its fantasy league app, and bringing new merchandise and apparel for the fans to devour, thanks to their partnership with CadoMotus (The Pure Speedskating Company - http://www.cadomotus.com), and the NSC’s exclusive custom skates they’ve rolled-out with custom boot-maker Kaiser Customs. See all of the league’s gear on display and for sale at www.pronsc.com.

Racing starts at 6 am PST sharp on both Saturday and Sunday November 2 and 3. Come see the racing for free, live, in-person at Pattison’s West Skate Center in Federal Way, Washington, or check out the live feed at www.pronsc.com.
