“Our food system is broken and in desperate need of repair. The solutions are going to come when we all start working together at the table. The Future of Food Hackathon is working to do that by building relationships and community with all stakeholders around the usefulness of technology in our food system,” said Future of Food Hackathon co-founder Tim West.
The event will take place at the Tagged headquarters in San Francisco, CA and will be followed by an after party at TCHO New American Chocolate on Pier 17. Tagged is the 5th largest social network with 300MM+ users and TCHO is a pioneer in applying technology to chocolate production.
A hackathon is an event where technologists and stakeholders gather to rapidly and collaboratively build software solutions to identified challenges. Along with the hackathon, there will be a Sunday forum comprised of industry experts and includes panel discussions on themes such as technology, sustainability and scalability.
