Kollel Shomrei Hachomos held their Annual Dinner on Sunday evening, October 27, 2013 where one thousand people attended to support and honor this worthy cause.  The three guests of honor wereYoel Meisels, Shaya Kolman and Shlomo B. Eckstein.

Rabbi Shlomo Braun, while being the director of the Aleh Foundation in the United States of America also serves as the liaison for NYS Senator Martin Golden, who prepared NYS Senate Certificates of Recognition for their humanitarian efforts on behalf of RMBH.  Rabbi Braun presented these certificates to each of the honorees that help serve the poor of Eretz Yisroel and expressed his blessings to them for opening their hearts to ensure the success and participation of many others in the Kollel Shomrei Hachomos Dinner.

The Aleh Foundation opened its first office in the United States in 1989 and developed a network of more than 30,000 that became staunch throughout the USA supporters of our activities. It is only due to the energetic and successful public relations and fund raising affords of the Aleh Foundation in the USA, during the past 30 years, that Aleh is Israel was able to become Israel’s foremost provider of the care and treatment of the severely disabled children. Aleh’s spacious, ultra-modern dormitories, treatment centers, special education schools and occupational training schools of Aleh house and treat hundreds of special children in four cities in Israel. Today Aleh operates a system of spacious, modern facilities throughout Israel that house and care for more than 700 children with special needs. Because of dedicated friends and supporters throughout the states Aleh Foundation was able to forward more than a quarter million dollars ($275,000) this year to Aleh’s facilities in Israel.

The Aleh Foundation located at 5317 13th Avenue Brooklyn, NY 11219 is pleased to announce that the upcoming 2014 Awards Gala will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at the Museum of Jewish Heritage- a living memorial to the Holocaust.
