Adam H. Koblenz Named Recipient of LIBN’s “Leadership in Law” Award

UNIONDALE, N.Y. - Oct. 30, 2013 - PRLog -- Adam H. Koblenz, an associate with Sahn Ward Coschignano & Baker, PLLC, has been selected to receive Long Island Business News’ “Leadership in Law” Award in the category of Associate. The ceremony will take place November 14 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury.

Mr. Koblenz concentrates his practice in the areas of litigation and appeals and has represented major corporations, municipalities, unions, small businesses, non-profit organizations and individuals in complex commercial and corporate litigation, insurance fraud actions, first-party property litigation involving arson and fraud, complex mass toxic tort litigation in both domestic and foreign forums, employment and labor matters involving claims of discrimination, wage and hour violations and partnership and real estate disputes. In addition to the firm’s duties, he currently serves as a Village Prosecutor for the Village of East Hills.

He is a member of the New York State Bar Association and is admitted to practice law in the States of New York and New Jersey, and before the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. He is a graduate of Brandeis University and The George Washington University Law School. While attending law school, Mr. Koblenz served as a Law Clerk in the Fraud and Public Corruption Section in the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia. Mr. Koblenz has also interned in the offices of then-U.S. Senator John F. Kerry and U.S. Senator Charles E. Schumer.

Mr. Koblenz was also selected to the 2013 New York Metro Super Lawyers’ “Rising Stars”list. He was recognized in the practice area of General Litigation. Rising Stars is an exclusive list, recognizing no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state.

He is currently Vice President of the Men’s Division and Tennis Co-Chair of the Children’s Medical Fund of New York’s (CMF) 38th Annual Golf & Tennis Classic at the Glen Oaks Club. He recently helped organize the “Cycle for CMF” event at Lifetime Fitness in Syosset. The Town of Oyster Bay recently honored him for his dedicated service to CMF.

The Leadership in Law Award recognizes those attorneys who carry the following qualities in their profession: dedication, hard work, skill, tenacity and excellence.
