SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Oct. 30, 2013 - PRLog -- The Arizona Glass Alliance (AGA), a nonprofit organization dedicated to furthering the development and appreciation of art made from glass in The Grand Canyon State, is holding a special event to highlight its local artists. The exhibition and sale will take place at the DC Ranch Homestead Community Center on November 16th, from 10am – 4pm.

The goal of this event is to raise the community’s awareness of the organization’s local artist members who work with blown glass, slumped glass, fused glass, cast glass and mixed media. It will also give art lovers a chance to view a wide selection of art made from glass, as well as the opportunity to purchase one-of-a-kind pieces. “This is a great event for fans of glass artwork and those who may not be familiar with this artistic medium,” said Dan Tenn, chairman of the event. “It will give locals a chance to view work that was produced right here in Arizona, and there will be numerous pieces on-site that they can purchase.”

The event’s featured artists include: Suzanne Chudnoff, Josh Dopp,  Ann Falvey, Marian Gibney, Lynn Gustafson, Pat Isaacson, Gail Jamieson, Jackie Kahn, Patty Lewis, Merritt Menefee-Johnson, John Longo, Troy Moody, Laurie Nessel, Sandy Pendleton, Cindi Shaffer, Deanna Smith, Peggy Pettigrew Stewart, and David Vogt.

For all items sold at the event, 90% of the proceeds will go to the artist and 10% will go to the AGA to help cover the cost of the event.
