15th Holiday Home Tour “Sounds of the Season” and on-line Marketplace Dec. 7-8

WOODLAND PARK, Colo. - Oct. 30, 2013 - PRLog -- The 15^th Annual Holiday Home Tour “Sounds of the Season” graciously underwritten by Tweeds, will take place in Teller County, Colorado on Saturday, December 7^th and Sunday, December 8^th from 10am to 5pm each day.

The 2013 Tour features a unique array of beautifully decorated homes located within the Woodland Park area, a historical grand Manor located in Cripple Creek and two venues located within a secluded mountain retreat center.

The festivities also include live musical entertainment featuring choirs, a harpist, soloist and large ensembles.

For your shopping pleasure, an online marketplace at www.wphht.com will also offer great packages and items you will enjoy or to give as a gift.

 “Every year the Tour inspires visitors to oh and ah at the decorations and is the creative motivator for many to gather their decorating ideas,” says Karolyn Smith, Event Coordinator.

In addition, each location will share a collectible recipe card for a delicious holiday treat that is significant to each home and participant, the Tour will also debut a beautiful collectors Elf named Clifford from The Elves Themselves line, designed by Zims Inc. and will be available for purchase.

“The venues on our Tour this year are as eclectic as the residents of our community. You will see everything from a log home to a beautiful private chapel,” said Karolyn Smith. “Of course the Tour would not be possible without all of our gracious residents who are willing to open their homes and businesses. Please note we have extended the times for each day of the tour in response to many requests.”

Some of the comments heard from last year’s event attendees included that the event was “very warm and inviting”…”I loved the variety of musical performers”… and ”I think the event showcased the City of Woodland Park well and that it was the best Christmas tour in the region.”

Ticket prices are $15 each or two for $25 if purchased in advance, $17 each the day of the event and children/students (K-12) are $5 each. Tickets purchased through PayPal will be available for pickup at the Holiday Home Tour Hospitality House on the day of the event.

Proceeds from this year’s event will benefit three Teller County programs. The Teller Senior Coalition, Habitat for Humanity of Teller County and Voices of Grief.

ATTENTION MEDIA OUTLETS--- A special preview and media night for this year’s event, hosted by Tweeds Fine Furnishings and the Holiday Home Tour Committee, will take place from 5–7pm on Friday, November 22^nd at Tweeds Fine Furnishings, 240 E Hwy 24 in Woodland Park.  Homeowners, sponsors and representatives from each community project will be on hand. Appetizers, sweets, coffee and wine will be offered.

About the Tweeds Holiday Home Tour “Sounds of the Seasons” and Marketplace:

This annual event has served as a fundraiser for the Teller County community since 1999. Initially proceeds were dedicated to providing enhancements to the Dickson Auditorium. After completion of this project, proceeds from the event were generously gifted to Pikes Peak Regional Medical Center Foundation. In 2011, the Foundation reached out to partner with other local service organizations.
