Governor Quinn Declares November 1 as Project Management Institute Day in Illinois

CHICAGO - Oct. 30, 2013 - PRLog -- PMI-Chicagoland, the Chicago chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI), is delighted to announce that Pat Quinn, Governor of the State of Illinois, has proclaimed “November 1, 2013, as PROJECT MANAGEMENT INSTITUTE DAY in Illinois, in recognition of the contribution project managers make to the economic vitality of the Land of Lincoln.”

PMI Day Illinois,is a day to take the time to recognize and acknowledge the work of project managers and project teams who provide skills and knowledge critical to the success of many organizations.

What is your local Chapter doing this PMI Day?
PMI Chicagoland Chapter, which was chartered in 1977, and today has 4,000+ members in the Chicago metropolitan area, will host its 3rd Annual Professional Development Day on November 1, 2013. It is one of the largest project management events of the year in the Chicagoland area with over 400 professionals expected to attend!

The theme for this premier event is “Mastery Beyond Triple Constraints” with 4 Knowledge Tracks, 28 intensive topics presented by expert speakers including a tongue-in-cheek keynote address by Dr. James T. Brown. The event will take place this Friday, November 1st, from 8am-6pmCT at Meridian Banquets, 1701 W Algonquin Rd, Rolling Meadows, IL.

To celebrate Governor Quinn's proclamation of November 1, 2013 as Project Management Institute Day throughout Illinois, PMI Chicagoland Chapter is extending registration for the Professional Development Day premier event to offer an additional 25 seats,
