Local Online Visibility Supports Distracted Driving Advocates After National Teen Driver Safety Week

Local Online Visibility (LOV) of Los Angeles, supported a Distracted Driving Advocates’ efforts to bring awareness about the importance of safe driving during Teen Driver Safety Week.

Oct. 29, 2013 - PRLog -- Local Online Visibility (LOV), a Los Angeles-based marketing firm has announced their “Do Better” campaign to aid in bringing awareness to the issue of distracted driving. The campaign comes on the heels of the National Teen Driver Safety Week and allows LOV to offer its full support to Distracted Driving Advocates & organizations as those individuals continue to bring awareness with their message of road safety to all drivers.  LOV’s focus is all drivers, but especially teenage drivers.

LOV spokesperson Lisa Williams says the firm was motivated to support this cause because of their recent work with the Conor Lynch Foundation’s 3rd Annual 5k Run/Walk which continued to raise awareness about distracted driving. This year, at the run/walk, the Conor Lynch Foundation gave the participants something more than a keepsake.  According to Williams, ““Learning about the Conor Lynch story really opened my eyes to the seriousness of distracted driving and that it is a cause that is as important as cancer, or any other fights or initiatives and the messages advocates have should be somewhere that people will be reminded daily.” LOV supplied the Conor Lynch Foundation with I.C.E. Safety Key Tags for their group.  I.C.E. stands for In Case of Emergency.

The I.C.E. Key tag is a useful item that displays a promotional message, but its greatest benefit is the notification feature that helps First Responders at the scene of an accident where someone was unable to speak for themselves.  On the back on the key tag, a next of kin’s phone number is displayed which can greatly reduce the time in contacting a loved one. On the promotional side of the key tag, the “Do Better” message then acts as a subliminal tool to remind users every day of what they shouldn’t be doing.  The message displayed on the I.C.E. Key Tag can be any message, such as “Don’t Text & Drive,” “Put Down the Cell,” or a company’s branded logo.

LOV’s “Do Better” campaign will urge people to just take a moment and think about how they drive and encourage them to do better once they get behind the wheel. LOV will also be sharing the I.C.E. safety key tag with local schools that are active in teaching their students the consequences of distracted driving and the company is partnering with local businesses to get their innovative I.C.E. Keytag in the hands of those students and those who have a desire to “Do Better.”

LOV’s goal is to get an I.C.E. Key tag to every high school student in the country and their family & friends!  One of LOV’s focuses is bringing local schools and neighborhood businesses together in a win-win situation for all involved. Often, businesses are eager to pick up the cost of the Key tags in exchange for their logo or message on the flip side of the I.C.E. Key tag, just as a local realtor did for the Conor Lynch participants. For LOV CEO Tamika Bridgewater, the issue is saving lives. “Unfortunately, we can’t prevent every accident but the I.C.E. Key tag gets a safety message in front of our teenagers and parents that they carry with them every day, and seeing a message that often might just remind them not to text and drive or at the very least, quickly help reach a next of kin In Case of Emergency.”
